Cedar slab 001 **SOLD**
Slab-top lid, made from cedar, body made from figured maple. Finished with hand-rubbed tung oil.
The lid is 'bookmatched', which means that a single piece of wood is sliced lengthwise and the two pieces are then joined, to create a mirror image. One of the sides contains a dark, naturally-occurring stripe. Most builders would avoid such a 'flaw'...I go out of my way to embrace and highlight those flaws.
